The company was established in Greece, producing artisanal glassware for a range of private clients and today the products are beloved by both knowledgeable home entertainers and famous restaurateurs. In fact, product has been purchased in over 100 countries around the world and is used in more than 500 luxury hotels, including Claridges, Browns and the Savoy Hotels, London, Hotel Plaza Athénée, Paris, the Plaza Hotel and Nobu 57 in New York (to name but a few) all individualising their food offerings through the use of AnnaVasily products.

Designed by Anna Papaharisi, the collection is unlike traditional tableware as each piece is individually crafted from high quality glass that can withstand the rigors of a modern kitchen. The collection incorporates many items such as plates, flat wear, glasses, platters, a petite four range and high tea stands, however, one of the trademarks of the company is the ability to design and produce a product to a client’s specification or idea. Colour and texture are paramount as each piece is slightly different to another – a characteristic of the hand-made and a celebration of individuality.

The designer explains that “everything in nature, the sea, hills, valleys, is naturally curved and textured and this is how I approach design. Machines produce straight lines, I don’t want that. I want my creations to have personality, small imperfections and distinct characteristics. Not one piece is identical to another. I want people to pick up each plate, touch it and admire it for its feel as well as its appearance. For that exact reason, AnnaVasily is consciously designed to be beautifully imperfect.”
