Week one of IDEA 2020 shortlist reveals ends with the Workplace Over 1000sqm category, along with a special video featuring all 17 past Overall Winners.

Shortlisted projects were selected by our editorial team. A further round of judging by our jury – Andrew Parr, Hana Hakim, Rachel Luchetti, Simone Haag, Anna Spiro, Brendan Wong and Jeremy Bull – will determine the category winners, which will be announced at our annual IDEA gala.

The Workplace Over 1000sqm category is for large commercial office designs.

Key considerations here include how a commercial fitout has been designed to enhance the efficiency of the workplace, not just from the perspective of user productivity, but also with regards to comfort and happiness.

Here are the shortlisted projects for the Workplace Over 1000sqm category. This category is proudly supported by Shaw Contract.

To celebrate the end of week one of our IDEA 2020 shortlist reveals, we’ve put together a very special video dedicated to past Overall Winners.

The Overall Winner is the best project submitted that year, and as one of Australia’s oldest interior design and architecture awards, we’ve handed out 17 so far.

So join us as we hear from last year’s Overall Winner – Alec Tzannes and the entire Tzannes team (for the Dangrove Art Storage Facility) – before taking a trip down memory lane to relive the very best Australian design of the past (almost) two decades!

This category is proudly supported by Miele.

Browse all the shortlisted projects on the Workplace Over 1000sqm page. Congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted.
