Plus Architecture has celebrated its 25th birthday by announcing 12 new senior appointments across Australia and New Zealand.

With offices throughout the Asia-Pacific region, Plus Architecture now has a staff of more than 200.

And it’s celebrating its 20+ history this year with nine promotions of existing talent and three new hires – two in newly created positions.

Plus Architecture credits this move to its future-fit strategy, which looks forward to facilitating the practice’s continued growth as it enters the next quarter-century.

Plus Architecture director Ian Briggs says that team recruitment and retention is rooted in sourcing great talent and then providing support while allowing individual autonomy.

“In our industry, talent is more than just resourcing work. It’s intrinsically linked to the quality of client outcomes, which is why employment and engagement for us are about finding individuals who are skilled, creative, innovative and embrace our culture of pushing creative boundaries.

“Across 25 years of business, one core factor has remained steadfast – never wait for a prospect to knock before resourcing. If you see great talent make the proactive move and let the work opportunities follow.

Some of the promotions include Marc Rimester to associate in the studio’s Auckland practice, Gabriel Duque and Brendan Murray to principals at the Sydney studio and Rebecca Wright as principal across Brisbane and Gold Coast.

Plus Architecture says the new appointments demonstrate the practice’s commitment to success for the next 25 years as a leading-edge architect practice.
