ADR’s 30UNDER30: Architecture and Innovation in the Built World is set to launch and accept entries 4 September 2023. Here’s everything you need to know about the program.

The 30UNDER30 program for interior designers and product designers, was launched by Australian Design Review when, after industry consultation, it was discovered there was a need to support those starting their career in the built environment. The program is designed to nurture young designers, thinkers and innovators across the interior and architecture industry.

Having long celebrated the careers and achievements of those in the interior and design space in Australia, the program was a natural extension for Australian Design Review

In its first year the ADR 30UNDER30 Interior and Product Design stream received enormous interest and support, with over 150 entries from interior and product designers to make the final Top 30 List.

After the success of the ADR Interior and Product Design stream, the program continues and the Architects and Innovators of the Built World stream is set to launch on 4 September 2023.

Brought to you by major sponsor Neolith, and gold sponsors Miele and Tongue & Groove, the ADR 30UNDER3030 program celebrates and encourages young, talented Australian architects and innovators of the built world  to develop their skills and be mentored by the industry’s finest.

Angela Chun

Niche Media Publisher Paul Lidgerwood encourages potential entrants to submit an application to the program. “If you work across the architecture and innovation sector and are 30 or under – we see you and we understand that you are the future.”

“That’s why we have launched a new recognition program– Australian Design Review’s 30UNDER30 Architecture and Innovation in the Built World that focuses on you – your work, your career, the issues that are important to you, your health and well-being, your network, your mentors and the passion that drives you everyday. We see you.”

The aim of Australian Design Review’s  30UNDER30 is to assemble and connect young creatives with industry leaders and practice founders as well as with suppliers and sponsors. It encourages exploration and career-long connections for the visionary and dynamic cohort.

The chosen ADR  30UNDER30 Architects and Innovators of the Built World have the opportunity to attend an exclusive creative retreat in May/June 2024 where they will participate in workshops, mentoring sessions and networking events.
