Known for thinking outside of the box, Moooi have taken things a step further with their latest project, Moooi Carpets.
Moooi has always been about bringing additional beauty to people’s lives by decorating homes, offices, hotel rooms and restaurants with iconic and innovative pieces of furniture and lighting. Their latest venture, Moooi Carpets, is set to be no different with the brand turning their successful rug range into a fully fledged flooring business.
Launched at this year at the Milan Fair, the Moooi Carpets collection is rich and refined, boasting an extensive range of unique, iconic and breathtaking designs. As well as collaborating with big name designers (the likes of Front, Bertjan Pot, Marcel Wanders and Studio Job have all presented designs as part of the brand’s first collection), possibly the most exciting part of Moooi Carpets is the ability for anyone to design a rug and have it manufactured, regardless of size, scale or specification.
Thanks to a groundbreaking high definition Chromojet printer and its accurate tones it is now possible to reach an unlimited mix of colour, opening the doors to an endless and unlimited world of colour and depth. Additionally, the quality of the print is so high that it possible to product photo realistic flooring solutions. This process is also a more environmentally aware way of printing on carpet with less dye waste, fewer cleaning cycles and less energy consumed than other processes.
The Moooi Carpets collection is available exclusively from Space Furniture and is expected to arrive in October 2015.
