Emerging Designer recipient, Brahman Perera

The IDEA Gala brings together Australia’s architecture and design industry to acknowledge, celebrate and award outstanding Australian design.

Launched by inside magazine in 2003, the IDEA program is a celebration of outstanding Australian interior and product design spanning various categories and special awards.

With each passing year, the program experiences growth, drawing in numerous entries from design practices and professionals across the country. These submissions undergo evaluation by a panel of seasoned design industry experts, each contributing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the judging process.

Beyond garnering entries from esteemed architecture and design firms across the nation, the program also plays a pivotal role in supporting emerging local designers.

Anticipated as one of the season’s premier events, the Gala promises an unforgettable evening featuring delectable cuisine, refreshing drinks, and captivating live music.

Secure your tickets now and join us in commemorating a remarkable year of achievements in Australian design.

The IDEA 2023 Gala is set to unfold on Thursday, November 23 at Centennial Homestead in Sydney.

A delicious menu is paired with cocktails and gin by Four Pillars and beer by Moo Brew. This is all part of what will be a brilliant and entertaining evening to celebrate our industry.

Doors open at 5:30pm for a 6pm start.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Winners will also receive a trophy designed by Axolotl.
