Last chance to win one $6420 Arne Jacobsen Swan Chair

There’s less than a week left to enter ADR’s Arne Jacobsen Swan Chair competition, which closes for entries at midnight AEST on 19 November.

We’re giving away one of these iconic chairs with the winner able to choose their own fabric from the Capture, Diablo, Fame, Rime or Tonus upholstery collection.

Find out more and enter before the deadline here.

Designed by Danish architect and furniture designer Arne Jacobsen, the Swan Chair was first created in 1958 for the lobby and lounge areas of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen – the city’s first high rise building.

The piece contains no straight lines, making it look organic and soft despite its simplicity and strong architectural appeal.

Jacobsen created the original Swan Chair in his own garage, and the piece has been in production at Danish furniture design company Fritz Hansen ever since.

It’s available in Australia from Cult, which has teamed up with ADR for this giveaway!

The chair that launched a thousand imitations measures 77 centimetres in height and 74 centimetres in width with a depth of 68 centimetres.

It features a moulded shell of synthetic material on an aluminium star swivel base. A layer of cold foam covers the shell, which is then upholstered in fabric or leather.

To celebrate this global furniture icon, we’re giving readers the chance to win one Swan Chair, valued at $6420.

Winners will be able to choose their own fabric from the Capture, Diablo, Fame, Rime or Tonus upholstery collection with personalised help from Cult’s in-house design team.

The Swan Chair is also available to buy online, where full product details can be found.

This competition is now closed.
