Australian furniture brand Cult began the Design Journey program in 2004, maintaining their prime focus in supporting talented Australasian designers for the past decade.

Design Journey provides an opportunity for up and coming designers to develop an accessory, lighting feature or collection of products to complement Cult’s existing range of furniture.

Entries will be critiqued on the basis of their project’s originality, aesthetics, functionality, sustainable allowances, potential for integration within the Cult brand and overall presentation.

Cult will showcase and prototype the successful entrant’s design, along with the opportunity to be supported by the brand in the manufacture of their product under license.

The winner will also enjoy a trip to Copenhagen where they will have an exclusive meeting with Rolf Hay (founder of Hay), and Christian Rasmussen, Head of Design for Republic of Fritz Hansen.
