Helmed by award-winning designer Gavin Hepper of Concepts by Gavin Hepper, the renovation of Bayview Residence presents a vision of liveable luxury, where softness and structure, intimacy and elegance exist in seamless alignment.

Anchored by Neolith’s new Atmosphere range, the reimagined home unfolds as a tactile narrative of high performance and elevated materiality. Each surface, from kitchen to ensuite, has been considered for both its appearance and how it supports the rituals of contemporary family life, mealtimes, morning routines and the quiet spaces in between.

“This project epitomises the perfect blend of contemporary luxury with timeless textures, soft palettes and functional design details that elevate everyday living,” Hepper says.

A coastal sanctuary shaped by material integrity and intuitive design

At the heart of the home, an expansive kitchen island in Neolith WhiteSands becomes the gravitational centre of the family’s shared life. Sculptural yet grounded, it appears to hover above the floor, softened by a 200mm mitred apron, elongated sharknose edging and a metallic breezeway detail that catches and disperses light. Hepper describes the island not simply as a functional zone but “a place to gather, to connect”.

WhiteSands, with its creamy hue and delicate warmth, continues across the service wall, wrapping around a metallic floating rangehood and flowing into the adjacent butler’s pantry. The material’s resilience, including its heat, stain and scratch resistance, sits quietly beneath its serene presence, reinforcing Hepper’s belief that beauty and utility must coexist.

A spa-like ritual rendered in stone and light

The home’s private spaces carry the same quiet confidence. In the principal bathroom, Neolith Artisan has been deployed as a unifying surface across the floor, wall, vanity and basin. With its soft, tactile texture and restrained elegance, Artisan offers continuity without monotony, its tonality shifting subtly across planes and light conditions.

“We wanted to create a sense of timeless calm, and the versatility of Neolith made it easy to apply the same material across every surface,” Hepper says. “It’s durable, beautiful and perfectly suited to wet areas.”

Arched mirrored cabinetry, fluted glass, linen sheers and Sydney Bronze tapware by Astra Walker layer softness into the space, while a bespoke American walnut vanity, crafted from Milano Cabinetti panels, introduces warmth and gravity.
