Ebonex Australia by Tom Mark Henry – a new idea for a workspace

Ebonex Australia by Tom Mark Henry is an exciting and dynamic design for the digital currency exchange company.

In a desirable north facing position with views of Sydney harbour, this workplace design challenges the status quo of financial corporate.

The design works with the curves of the building where functionality maximises the view, the hero of the space.

The entrance is warm and open, with a waiting area, pod-like meeting desks, kitchen and bar centrally located on the floor plan.

From here, open-plan desks allow light to travel right through and whilst screened off from the entertainment areas, there is a sense of connection and collaboration between the spaces.

Executives enjoy views from their north facing offices, and the recording studio, meeting rooms and a mother’s room are tucked against the core, empowering the young and forward-thinking team to diversify their workspaces.

The seminar and boardroom on the southern end of the site employ a strong approach to colour and texture resulting in a playful take on minimalism that is vibrant without competing with the view or the marble.

The Ebonex brand identity is carried through the scheme by the studio in pink and blue hues, with brass and stainless-steel luxuriating the palette.

Lighting specifications both accentuate and offset the curves used throughout the design, with linear pendants and ceramic wall lights to draw the eye around the space.
