Property developer Glenvill Group has announced its first architect commissions for the Eastern side of its 16.5-hectare YarraBend development.

Fender Katsalidis, Rothelowman, DKO, Point Architects and Conrad Architects have all been appointed to design various projects within the first precincts. Glenvill has so far commissioned Occulus, MDG, Tract and Eckersley to carry out the landscape architecture.

Yarrabend, just 6.5km from the CBD, served as a paper mill site since 1919 and is now one of Melbourne’s most significant urban renewal residential developments.

Glenvill’s intention is to create an urban renewal project of international design standard and a suburb where residents and visitors alike can enjoy the best of Melbourne living.

The key precincts on the eastern side of YarraBend are:

Park Precinct

The Park Precinct is on a prime location on the eastern boundary of YarraBend fronting Parkview Road, overlooking Alphington Park and few minutes walk to the Yarra river. Premium freestanding homes have been designed in collaboration between Point Architects and Rothelowman. Conrad Architects have designed townhouses that feature multi-levels, including fronting or backing onto landscaped generous green links with rooftop entertainment spaces.

River Quarter

Fender Katsalidis has been appointed to design YarraBend’s prestigious river front homes. Various luxury home styles will have upper level open entertaining decks looking directly over Yarra river and broader district views.

Circa Building

DKO Architects are currently designing the Circa Building situated on the corner of Heidelberg Road and Parkview Road. The building will offer apartment living in walking distance to Alphington Train Station and be able to enjoy the amenities the YarraBend will offer.

“In order to have the best architectural outcomes and public realm amenity, Yarrabend will be designed in collaboration with leading award winning architectural teams,” says YarraBend development director, Travers Nuttall.

“We know we’re on the right track by the amazing response we’ve had to the recent release of our Parkview Townhouses skillfully designed by Conrad Architects – 95% sold within three hours,” adds Nuttall.

“This shows the future residents of YarraBend value beautiful design and want to be part of our vision,” he said.
