The 2017 Milan Salone del Mobile has wrapped for another year, but we have curated some of the installations that you may not have already seen.
Italian creative Martina Mondadori, together with Airbnb, presented a new kind of experience at this year’s Milan design week, claiming that the Salone del Mobile has increasingly become more international. Things like cabinets, kitchen apparatus and storage areas are traditionally placed on top and around the bench, but the new range assimilates these objects and structures into newly assigned spaces or 'islands'.
The stand, which appears like a set of artistically arranged 'flying boxes', features popular collections with new and reintroduced designs by many renowned international designers.
