"My outdoor sculptures are often large in scale to fit in with the environment - think medium sized tree in scale - and have a multitude of similar elements that move in relationship to each with a rhythmic motion. I try to build pattern and form as layers of elements that move in and out of phase with each other and I’m often trying to create a hypnotic or euphoric experience."

Collingwood-based artist Rone completed a number of murals in the old Alphington Paper Mills in Melbourne, a building that has now been demolished. The works investigated themes of beauty and decay, and were secretly created in various abandoned houses and buildings around Melbourne and documented in a photographic print series.
Featuring more than 60 artists and designers from over 30 countries and free and exclusive to Melbourne, the triennial will include major presentations from international and Australian designers and artists, including Formafantasma, Brodie Niell, Yayoi Kusama and Estudio Campana.
