With the devaluation of digital fabrication owing to its overuse, it is the responsibility of designers to reintroduce value into designs by synthesising multiple and complementary sources through innovative methods.
The Brisbane-based studio, founded by design duo Rhys Thomas and Kristie Lahey, will make its official debut at the Decor + Design show in July this year.
The entries will be assessed for design excellence that incorporates sound research, unique application of products and innovation, and the winners will be announced on 15 September.
Among other things, the event featured a lecture presentation by AR editor Michael Holt and a keynote address by Dave Pigram and Iain (Max) Maxwell, directors of Sydney-based practice supermanoeuvre.
