Final Assembly is an exciting collection of contemporary design pieces from 27 emerging Australian furniture designers, graduating from RMIT’s Associate Degree in Furniture Design. This impressive exhibition delves into the exploration of the study into materiality and aesthetics of practice, which pushes the boundaries between the hand-crafted and machine made. Works in the exhibition range from a selection of tables, chairs, lighting, and other furniture items designed over the course of two years worth of study. Final Assembly includes 27 signature pieces from the design students, showcasing the result of six months of research, exploration and refinement into authentic design and sustainable practice.

These original pieces will be launched for the first time on opening night at Five Easy Upstairs, Fitzroy, 9 November 2017. This is a public event, open to those interested in original Australian design.
