The Australian Tapestry Workshop and the Tapestry Foundation of Australia, in partnership with Denton Corker Marshall, recently announced the inaugural 2015 ATW Tapestry Design Prize for Architects. The competition aims to provide architects a chance to explore and deepen their understanding of the relationship between textile art and architectural space.

For the inaugural Prize, architects are invited to use their knowledge and skills to create a tapestry design for the Australian Pavilion in the Giardini in Venice, designed by Denton Corker Marshall.

A panel of design experts, including Professor Kay Lawrence AM (SA), Professor Leon van Schaik AO (VIC), Brian Zulaikha (NSW), Hannah Tribe (NSW), John Gollings (VIC) and Jason Smith (QLD), will judge all entries.
