Last week the discipline of interior design at RMIT was celebrated to mark the occasion of the faculty’s 80 year anniversary.
The proceedings were held at the newly renovated Capital Theatre in Melbourne and the setting was an appropriate place for an evening of meeting old friends, reminiscing and socialising. Among the guests were students, past alumni that number many significant figures within the design community and members of the faculty.
Speakers on the evening included Peter Geyer, Tonya Hinde, Janie Parker, Billy Ip and Mary Featherston who talked about their time studying at RMIT and how this had enhanced their chosen profession within their chosen design realm.
Proceedings were beautifully facilitated by Suzie Attiwill, Associate Dean RMIT Interior Design and after the official speeches the real party began.
Happy anniversary RMIT!
