It’s almost time! In only a few weeks the shortlist for IDEA 2023 will be revealed.

Thank you to everyone who entered IDEA 2023.

The preliminary judging process has now taken place, which sees our star-studded panel of judges evaluate each shortlisted project using an online scoring system.

On Thursday August 17, seven jury members will meet in Melbourne to discuss the shortlisted projects and select a winner for each category.

They will also select the winners of the special awards – Emerging Designer of the Year, Designer of the Year and Overall Winner.

Over the next few weeks, we will reveal who made the shortlist for each category on ADR.

For a quick reminder, the full list of IDEA categories are as follows:

All shortlisted projects will be listed on ADR, each with a link to a dedicated page on the IDEA website where you can find more images and information about each one.

In the next stage of the 2023 IDEA awards, our judges – Sue Fenton, Byron George, Elvin Tan, Jade Nottage, Megan Norgate, and Danielle Brustman– will come together to select the winners for each category, as well as this year’s Gold Medallist.
