The graphic design duo Michael Lugmayr and Eva Dijkstra behind the multidisciplinary agency Design by Toko chat with ADR about all things design.
We both studied at the St. Joost Academy of Art in The Netherlands, where we developed a passion for everything design. We worked at several agencies before starting our own adventure in Rotterdam in 2001. Five years later, we decided to continue our (geo)graphic adventure in beautiful Sydney and now work with architects, designers and other companies on both continents.
Eva recently used her art practice to raise funds for Ukraine and created a unique artwork. The piece was auctioned and the proceeds were donated to charity.
We’ve never met a creative without a strong opinion! We seek the unexpected, find playfulness in serious matters, challenge preconceived notions and are extremely curious. By doing so we present unexpected outcomes and ideas.

Michael was born in Krefeld where Ludwig Mies van der Rohe made his mark.
