Petal Table Light by Rakumba
Image from Est Lighting for Rakumba

I’m a great admirer of the heritage Australian brand Rakumba. Their Petal Table Light is a stunning example of botanical-inspired design. I particularly appreciate the thick, hand-illustrated, natural textured glass, which provides both tactile charm and visual interest. Its proportions allow it to stand as a sculptural element, commanding a distinct presence within a space.

Reeno Occasional Chair by Grazia&Co

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed specifying Grazia&Co over the years. Based in Melbourne, their furniture design and manufacturing exemplify exceptional quality and craftsmanship. The Reeno Chair in ruched olive leather stands out as a striking centrepiece in any residential space. We recently chose this piece for a heritage home. The tactile fabric and unique upholstery technique have made it an irresistible focal point, drawing people in and inviting them to experience its texture firsthand.

Plant Life by Christopher Jewitt

From the very first moment I encountered Chris Jewitt’s work, it resonated with me on a profound level. His creations possess a captivating harmony from afar, but up close, they reveal intricate details and a vibrant charisma that makes the paint strokes seem to dance with joy. It’s truly a delight to specify his work and share its beauty with others.

Finch Sideboard by Jardan

This sideboard is one of my favourites. It beautifully balances strong, angular louvres with timber sphere feet, which lend a sense of lightness to an otherwise substantial piece. What I truly admire about Jardan is its ability to innovate while staying true to classic, functional design with a uniquely Australian touch. Their meticulous craftsmanship, carried out in their Melbourne factory, ensures that each piece is not just furniture but a work of art.

Leather Recessed Pull by MadeMeasure
Interior by Camilla McMahon. Photography by Twinewood Studio

Seamless integration has consistently been a core design principle in all our projects. This pull by MadeMeasure is thoughtfully designed to sit flush with the edge of a drawer face or cabinet door, featuring a carefully recessed cavity in the joinery. I particularly admire how the classic leather material enhances this minimalist, clean profile, infusing it with both personality and tactile quality.

Balloon Bowl by Louise Roe

Louise Roe, a Danish designer I came across a few years ago, has truly captivated me with her Balloon Bowl. This contemporary piece is a stunning display of artisan skill and creativity. Its sculptural design combines elegant curves with flowing, organic lines. Each bowl is handcrafted, showcasing the dedication and craftsmanship that make it a remarkable and unique addition to an interior setting.
