ADR and Herman Miller $30,000 Aeron chair competition winners revealed

16 lucky Australians are taking home an Aeron chair in our $30,000 ADR and Herman Miller competition.

Earlier in the year, we challenged you to consider how a Herman Miller Aeron chair would improve ergonomics in your home office.

To enter, all you had to do is answer this question in 50 words or less – How could a Herman Miller Aeron chair improve ergonomics in your home office?

We received 1000s of hilarious, heartwarming and moving answers from all over the country.

We peeked into home offices from Hobart to Perth, heard stories about sitting on the floor, commiserated with tales of fighting over the only office chair with three boisterous teens, and chuckled along with parents seeking solace in toddler teepees.

We even received our fair share of spectacular poems and very funny limericks!

On a more serious side, we also heard from a lot of Australians who have chronic pain from extended periods in office chairs that weren’t designed with their health in mind – something that has become all the more apparent since we started working from home.

In fact, our competition question was inspired by Herman Miller designers Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick, who set out to design the Aeron chair in 1994 as a health-positive, cross-performing, inclusively sized and environmentally sensitive product.

In 2016, Chadwick remastered the chair to incorporate advancements in materials, manufacturing and technology, and today’s world of work. It is designed to be the most comfortable ergonomic office chair regardless of your body shape or height.

Our thanks to Herman Miller for sponsoring this competition and providing 16 Australians with an Aeron chair, valued at $1850 each, that combines proper ergonomic support with incredible comfort and gorgeous design.
