Earlier in the year at Denfair, the American Hardwood Export Council invited six designers across Australia and New Zealand to use US hardwoods to create a bespoke piece of furniture. Each design was mapped from when the trees were felled in the hardwood forests of the US, tracking their environmental profile all the way to Australia, including the final design outcome.
Maison&Objet is synonymous with style and the January fair will be a fine reflection of this. With a plethora of exhibitors on show, designers and architects have the opportunity to source furniture, products and objects that are not seen elsewhere, while also taking time to enjoy the very enjoyable French style of the exhibition.
