Designer Jan Habraken's Chairgenics project revolves around ‘breeding’ the ideal chair by applying the principles of genetic engineering to design inanimate objects.
The Pods are designed to work as a furniture system instead of a partition screen thus making them ideal for small team meetings and individual requirements.
While there is no getting away from what some see as the less interesting aspects of a project, such as detailing and construction drawings, there is no doubt that employees are more motivated when they feel truly engaged.
The competition is divided into five main categories: lighting, student, concept, commercial and most sustainable product / green design.
