The award, presented to an individual who has “made a profound and long-term contribution to the contemporary practice of design,” has been given to Israeli-born architect, Moshe Safdie.
Branch Studio's name refers to its orchard setting and also to an energetic, open-ended growth of design services, with founders Brad Wray and Nicholas Russo keen for the practice to develop offshoot services in graphic and furniture design.
