From 15 to 17 June, Design Show and ArchiBuild Expo will be operating under one roof at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

For Melburnians who missed out on the chance to lap up the colour and wonder of the recent Design Week, they can rest assured, and visit the hotly anticipated three-day event presented by ArchiPro.

The event marks the first time the Design Show has descended upon Victorian shores – the original event was held in Sydney last year. The Convention Centre will also play host to the inaugural Archibuild Expo.

The two events will operate simultaneously, and welcome over 8000 interior design, architecture and construction professionals and 250 exhibitors. 

Event director Andy Vaughan says he is honoured to share trending brands and technology in the Australian design landscape with the largest group of design professionals. 

“We’re passionate about creating a sustainable future, so our ArchiBuild Expo will host a dedicated Sustainability Pavilion and panel talks at both events to explore challenges and solutions for sustainable design and manufacture,” says Vaughan. 

Patrons can expect to encounter notable brands such as Blum, Stoke and Fermob at the Design Show, whereas Archibuild will display titans in the field James Hardie, Interface, and Dulux. 

Not-to-be-missed aspects of Design Show include the entrance feature designed by two Collarts interior design students, the Cult-sponsored competition Australia’s Next Top Designer – 17 finalists will be revealed at the event – and continuing professional development sessions offered by the Design Institute of Australia. 

ArchiPro is thrilled to present the aforementioned Sustainability Pavilion with Green Tag, offering insights into newly released sustainable products, and patrons can marvel at the Archibuild Bar, made from Smartstone’s low sicilia engineered NewGen stone, comprising 56 percent of recycled material.

Both events will host panel discussions regarding innovations in design technology and the role of local manufacture. The panel ‘Sustainable Building Design for Australia’s Changing Climate’ is a must-see, promising to unpack strategies for sustainable building amidst the current climate crisis.
