"Our interest in Kevin Borland’s architectural approach took expression in our work via a lens of interpretation and transformation," says Melbourne-based practice Mihaly Slocombe, discussing their Chamfer House project – a 'sensitive infiltration' of a 1970s Kevin Borland design.
Every year, around 1000 children are required to attend the Broadmeadows Children’s Court after incidences of domestic violence. Mihaly Slocombe worked pro-bono in collaboration with the Alannah and Madeline Foundation to kickstart the innovative Cubbyhouse project – a courthouse sanctuary for children, the first of its kind in Australia.
