The project involved creation of a new studio and gallery space with flexibility to house different workplace arrangements from permanent subtenant to a series of hot desks for short stay freelancers.
Much of the new floor plan is designated to furniture and object brought in on consignment from the general public while the stallholder ‘shops’ occupy the rest of the floor.
When beauty and sophistication come together in a project the designer has achieved the brief. Miriam Fanning and Lauren Foy of Mim Design have done just this with a perfect marriage of style, substance and complexity in their design for the Little Group offices.
The entries will be assessed for design excellence that incorporates sound research, unique application of products and innovation, and the winners will be announced on 15 September.
