Featuring more than 60 artists and designers from over 30 countries and free and exclusive to Melbourne, the triennial will include major presentations from international and Australian designers and artists, including Formafantasma, Brodie Niell, Yayoi Kusama and Estudio Campana.
Maticevski’s skill as a fashion designer is obvious, his forms are concurrently soft and sharp, flowing and linear, with a robust quality to his work.
“As a practice deeply entrenched in digital fabrication technologies it was exciting to create an immersive space that gives room for storytelling while being part of the story itself,” says Chris Bosse, director at LAVA, on designing an exhibition space for the Sydney Powerhouse Museum.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of MAISON&OBJET, its September exhibition will unveil a revitalised offering streamlined to satisfy the retailer and designer alike.
