Trade and commercial service from King tailored to meet your needs

With architects, interior designers and contractors at the heart of the trade and commercial service from King, you can expect an experience that ticks all the boxes.

To find out more about the service, ADR recently caught up with two of the Australian furniture company’s trade and commercial coordinators – Melissa Pipicella and Miranda Trost – for this special video feature.

Familiar faces in the industry, Pipicella and Trost are incredibly passionate about the projects on which they work, making themselves available to designers and architects every step of the way from initial concept to the big unveiling.

“We see our success as our client’s success,” Trost tells me more than once during the making of our video feature.

“We facilitate every single aspect related to our clients dealings with King, from large scale project design proposals right through to attending and managing installations.

“And while King is renowned for its sofas, we also have an extensive range of dining, bedroom, lighting, artwork and outdoor, which takes the stress out of having to deal with numerous suppliers because we’re your single point of contact.”

The trade and commercial service at King is really about end-to-end assistance.

From the moment you approach the brand with a project, your dedicated trade and commercial coordinator is working to bring your vision to life.

This starts over a coffee or two with a detailed brief and develops into presentations featuring mood boards, costings and comprehensive specifications – all laid out as transparently and as timely as possible.

And since, customisation has always been at the heart of King, the brand can tailor the upholstery, colour, size and finish of all its recommendations because, as Pipicella puts it: “You shouldn’t have to compromise for new furniture.

“Instead, great design should adapt to fit your changing needs.”

In the afternoon I spent with Pipicella and Trost making this video feature, I was energised by their enthusiasm.

They were so committed to their clients and so knowledgable about the products King designs and manufactures that they came across as assets in their own right.

A trade client can walk into any King showroom on any day of the year in the confidence that they will be able to access the best pricing for their end client, regardless of whether the brand is currently running a promotion.

In addition, King offers trade clients a further trade discount that is applied on top of its retail promotional prices.

But the benefits far outweigh these discounts. The King trade and commercial coordinators are experts in their field, going out of their way to recommend the perfect products that will not only meet your expectations, but exceed them.

“Our clients choose to work with the trade division in the confidence that the person on the other end of that email or phone call knows their business, from the profile of the projects they facilitate to the application of the product,” concludes Trost.

“We want our relationship with our trade clients to last for as long as King furniture does, which we really do hope is a lifetime.”
