Designed for manufacturer De La Espada, the latest collection to come under the LucaNichetto brand is 50/50 Collection: Episode II.
Debuting in February with the launch of the Elysia lounge chair, the range added two new pieces in New York: the Stanley sofa and the Laurel coffee and side tables. To show off the new products, the debut was presented with a capsule fashion collection courtesy of Russian-born, Madrid-based designer Yulia Yadryshnikova.
Nichetto’s latest designs are inspired by the classic Italian furniture pieces of the 1950s. Luxury is in the details, says De La Espada on its website, noting that the three dresses and two coats specially created for the New York event by Yadryshnikova complemented the 50/50 pieces by “reflecting the ethos of each other”.
Yadryshnikova is well-known for her eclectic, and often outré designs. Indeed one of the gowns featured in New York was a reinterpretation of the Stanley sofa, but as a sofa cover that can also convert into an stylish dress.
