For one day only, Cult Design will be offering 20 per cent off all furniture, lighting and accessories in store and online.

It’s the first time the Australian furniture and design company has participated in Black Friday, which is on 27 November 2020.

Shoppers will receive 20 per cent off all authentic furniture, lighting and accessories from all brands, including Carl Hansen, HAY, Gubi, & Tradition, Louis Poulsen, NAU and more.

All they have to do is use the code CULTBF20 online or in-store at Cult showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

For the second year running, HAY will also be offering a 20 per cent Black Friday discount on all its furniture, lighting and accessories.

You can take advantage of this sale from the contemporary furniture company both in-store and online using code HAYBF20.

In preparation for the sale, ADR has picked out five pieces that are definitely on our Black Friday wish list.

Bong coffee table

The perfect accent, with an ironic touch and eloquent presence, the Bong table by Milan-based architect Giulio Cappellini is composed of a solid sphere and a round top.

The Bong coffee table is available in fibreglass lacquered white, anthracite, red or orange with a lava stone finish; in faux Carrara marble or with a floral decoration.

DLM side table by Thomas Bentzen

Danish designer Thomas Bentzen’s portable side able is aptly named ‘Don’t Leave Me’. Abbreviated to DLM, it features a convenient handle that allows the metal table to be carried from room to room.

Although it has a lightweight and portable structure, the three slanted legs provide great stability.

PP225 Flag Halyard chair by Hans J Wegner for PP Møbler

Although the appearance of the Flag Halyard Chair seems rather futuristic, the basic idea was conceived on a hot summer afternoon at the beach.

Despite having obvious preferences for wood, Danish architect Hans J Wegner shows his bold and courageous appetite for creating, using solid stainless steel to pay tribute to the early modernists Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer.

To finish, a longhaired sheepskin softens the industrial sharpness of the steel – produced in Iceland as a bi-product of food production.

Tres rug by Nanimarquina

Tres is a traditional Indian flat-weave Dhurrie rug. Its unique quality lies in the production of three independent parts in which different fibres predominate. The proportion and combination of wool, felt and cotton generate changes in tone and irregularities in the weave, bringing the pattern to life.

The Tres Collection reflects Barcelona-based Nanimarquina’s passion for craftsmanship, specifically paying tribute to the ancient craft of weaving.

Office Desk by Bodil Kjær for Karakter

Designed by Danish architect, professor and designer Bodil Kjær in 1959, Office Desk was the first of its kind with its pure and simplistic design, appearing almost as if floating mid-air.

Nicknamed ‘the most beautiful desk in the world’, it was featured prominently in three early James Bond movies.

Established in 1997 by Richard Munao, Cult Design has one of the most comprehensive collection of brand partners across Australia and New Zealand, providing exceptional authentic designer furniture, and creating an enviable reputation for Australian design worldwide.

Cult partnered with HAY in 2005 and in 2015 opened HAY Sydney – the first fully operating retail store under the Cult brand.
