London-based Australian designer Georgina Lewis’ latest collection of Olio Objects features low-cost, high-end furniture pieces that are suitable for a variety of indoor settings.
Lewis aims to design luxury pieces that are hand made locally using affordable materials and methods. She says, “I’m interested in creating good design at affordable prices.”
The new Duo range that is to be launched at Design Junction in London in September features a palette of copper and wood. It includes a candelabra, table lamp, side table and coffee table inspired by the scenic beauty of Tasmania.
Lewis established Olio (meaning a collection of miscellaneous things) in 2011 after having worked in the manufacturing and retail industries for nine years. The studio draws on mass production philosophies to produce affordable individually hand crafted pieces.
