Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, 100% Design will return during the London Design Festival 2014 with an opening by international creator Phillipe Starck. The opening of the show will coincide with the unveiling of Phillipe’s new tile collection ‘Flexible Architecture’ for Ceramica Sant’Agostino on Capitol Designer Studio’s stand (Stand E600).

100% Design will also feature a range of leading names in the design and creative industry – Heal’s, Vitra, Jaime Hayon, El Ultimo Grito and Nina Tolstrup. This year will mark the show’s last appearance at the Earls Court London before moving to another iconic venue next year, the Olympia London.

100% Design is the UK’s largest design trade event with over 27,000 annual visitors including architects, interior designers, retailers and designers. It is the biggest event hosted during the London Design Festival.

Promising innovative content to reflect the key influences which have made London a global design capital, the upcoming iteration will celebrate the show’s overall contribution to the rise of British design in the last two decades. Based upon the central curatorial theme – Serendipity – and supported by the lead creative – Design Kaleidoscope – this year’s event aims to express the opportunities created by the show – from collaborations, to projects and product launches.

Pakistan – Coalesce Design Studio

100% Design 2014 will comprise four key industry sections – Interiors, Kitchens & Bathrooms, Workplace and Eco, Design & Build. The popular Emerging Brands section will also return this year, showcasing new design talent alongside International Pavilions, which will feature innovative designs by creative practices from around the world.

Estonia – Tamma Design

This year, 100% Design has also commissioned a group of design teams – led by show designers Thomas.Matthews – to produce thought-provoking installations for the central hubs of the industry sections.

There will be series of live debates, seminars and talks programme with a range of international speakers including Jaime Hayon, Nina Tolstrup, Maxim Velcovsky and Eric Klarenbeek.

To mark its 20th edition, 100% Design 2014 will also present a range of celebratory events – from an integrated timeline around the central bar designed by Studio Design UK, to a curated exhibition, ‘Design Kaleidoscope’, showcasing 20 iconic design products launched at 100% Design in the past.
