To kick off the long weekend in Melbourne last week Interstudio opened its doors to the architecture and design community for a fabulous celebration to launch its newly renovated Melbourne premises. Situated at 14 Easey Street Collingwood, the Interstudio showroom provided the venue for an event to remember, with live music from Lark Music and food from Smith Street Alimentari.

The 120-plus crowd experienced the state-of-the-art fitout designed by Emily Unger of Emily Unger Design that perfectly showcases the multiple products that Interstudio has on offer. Special guest for the evening was Jonas Ihreborn, CEO of Jonas Ihreborn Designs in Sweden whose products are the latest addition to the extensive Interstudio portfolio already available. With brands that originate from Denmark, Singapore and Australia, the ranges include Voss Co, +Halle, Busk + Hertzog, Form Us With Love, Montana, Engelbrechts, Magnus Olesen, Foundry Collection, Pedrali, Prostoria, RIGA, Addinterior, Basile & Evans, Origin Didier, Matthew Sheargold and Keith Melbourne.

Interstudio focuses on uncompromising contemporary design. The head office is located in Melbourne, while there is a Sydney showroom and branch offices located around Australia. Managing director Michele Kearney relaunched Interstudio in 2012 and has developed and grown the business exponentially to foster design innovation and present a range of products for all styles of interior design. Interstudio customises solutions for architects and designers and it is this, coupled with excellent customer service, that is at the core of the business.

At the relaunch, Kearney said, “I see our business developing well into the future, one of the big pluses of Interstudio is that we listen to our clients – we work closely with them to attain great results on a project and, in turn, develop long-term relationships.

“I like to think that we are the quiet achievers,” she added. “This past financial year we have completed two major projects with a combined worth of over $3.0 million. I think many people are amazed that we were able to do such projects, but it is possible because we have a team who are passionate about what they do. Our success is because of the people in our team.”

Quiet achievers perhaps, but Interstudio is making much noise in the architecture and design community supplying beautiful product and fostering great relationships in the process.
