The 2015 Visiting Scholar Program is calling for applications from architects, professionals and scholars. The program supports innovative and advanced research from a broad interdisciplinary perspective on the history, theory and criticism of the various design disciplines.

It welcomes research proposals in these areas that are prompted by, or refer to, the relationship between contemporary design theory and practice and current social, cultural and political issues. Projects engaged in changes in professional practices and in the development of new media technologies are also welcomed.

The applications are open to professionals working in the field of the built environment and scholars at different stages of their careers conducting research on a post-doctoral or equivalently advanced level.

The program is organised by the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), an international research centre and museum operating under the principle that architecture is a public concern.

The last date for submissions is Wednesday, 30 April 2014 (5pm EST).
