ABOUT US
Koichi Takada Architects is a Sydney-based boutique architecture firm, led by Koichi Takada. Founded in Sydney in 2008, it is a young and innovative practice with a wide range of architectural and interiors projects in residential, commercial, hospitality and cultural venues in Australia and overseas.

Our studio is located in a landmark warehouse building in Surry Hills, with a relaxed feel and plenty of natural light and views. We are a growing practice, and we continuously develop our capabilities to deliver cutting edge design and services.

THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for a highly organised and pro-active Architectural Assistant to join our team. The role is primarily providing support to Koichi Takada, and is also supporting the team and assisting with general office administration. The right candidate will be able to develop their professional skills and have opportunities for long term career progression.

We are looking for a recent graduate who is eager to gain all-round office experience and is driven to make a significant contribution to the success of the practice.

Responsibilities include:
-Assisting Koichi Takada with his day-to-day activities
-Organising meetings and travel, and liaising with clients, journalists, suppliers
-Working on marketing and awards submissions, and assisting the team with preparing presentation documents
-Assisting the Office Support with greeting visitors and ensuring a positive and professional first impression of the office
-Assisting with other office administration tasks
-Providing general support to the team

SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, EXPERIENCE:

-a degree in architecture
-previous office experience in an architecture firm
-excellent written and verbal communication skills
-strong interpersonal skills
-highly organised, precise, proactive and reliable
-competency in MS Word and Excel
-proficiency in Indesign and Photoshop
-a desire to contribute to the success of the practice.

Applicants must be Australian Residents or hold a valid Australian work permit allowing full-time work.
