Just as the cosmos offers endless opportunities for discovery, Modul Space by Bosse, is a wonderland of potential configurations.
Maybe there’s just something in the name… earlier this month Artemis II explored new possibilities in space. Meanwhile, Modul Space, the furniture system from Bosse and distributed by Innerspace in Australia, is predicated on the concept of ‘one idea: 1000 possibilities’.

Less a piece of furniture and more a fundamental design principle that derives its form from the actual logic of its construction, Modul Space by Bosse, which has been part of the Dauphin HumanDesign Group since 1992, is the last word in clean lines and minimalism.

Manufactured in Germany and following in the hallowed tradition of Bauhaus, Modul harks back to the tubular steel joint system developed by Poul Cadovius in the 1960s. Cadovius’ pioneering designs reinterrogated the way that furniture interacts with the architectural space in which it is located.

Modul Space does the same thing – offering precision engineering, functional clarity and eschewing extraneous flourishes. Within this clearly defined designed principle, however, there are almost infinite possibilities and a high degree of creative freedom for specifiers and interior designers. Bespoke solutions abound, inspired by the basis of chrome or matt black powder-coated frames, complementedby glass, wood or acoustically effective panels.

The system also comes with a curated colour palette, including hand picked shades from Le Corbusier’s Les Couleurs, further emphasising this system’s respectful nods to tradition and its pedigreed predecessors.

This creative freedom invites tailoring to specific use cases – from workplace solutions to room-defining elements and counters. Modul Space’s wardrobe settings are a natural fit for hotels and residential applications. Its office shelving and units sit comfortably in workplace settings, while its television units, buffets and storage options provide endless residential solutions.

Modul Space’s provenance ensures high-quality craftsmanship and reliable durability – meaning its acquisition is also an investment in the future. And this is not just because each piece is built to last, but also that its modularity invites adaptation and augmentation. It’s sustainable simply because that’s its fundamental design principle.

Almost like Meccano for grown-ups, tubes, connectors and panels can be flexibly combined, reconfigured or extended. Why replace something, when you can just use the constituents in a slightly different or even whole new way?
Modul Space is built on precision but the result is a system in flux – open to experimentation, brand new ideas and, above all, discovery. Not unlike the Artemis II’s voyage into space in fact. Infinity and beyond!
