Global bathroom furnishings brand Roca Group has acquired Phoenix, an Australian tapware company in the mid-to-high-end market segment.
Roca announced the acquisition on Thursday 10 July, after more than 35 years in the Australian market for Phoenix.
In that time, Phoenix has become a leading tapware brand in Australia, designing, assembling and marketing a wide portfolio of bathroom and shower fittings. According to Roca, Phoenix recorded a turnover of €35.4 million ($63 million) in 2024.
With this acquisition, Roca says it hopes to strengthen its position in Australia, where it is already present with its global brands Roca and Laufen.
Designed in-house, Phoenix’s collections have received prestigious accolades such as a Red Dot Award and a Good Design Award for their excellence in design, innovation and functionality. The company is also ranked number one in the bath category for Australia and Oceania, according to the international iF Design Awards.
In addition to this acquisition, Roca will open a new Roca Gallery in Sydney by the end of this year, as well as a Laufen Space, where products from this brand will be showcased.
Today, Roca’s commercial network reaches more than 170 countries, supplied by its 81 production plants and its more than 21,000 employees all around the world.
