Rob Dolan Wines’ new cellar door was originally a chicken farm called Fantasy Farm. ADR takes a look at the winery’s design evolution.

Set on 100 acres of rolling farmland and vineyard in Warrandyte South, Victoria, the cellar has been incorporated into the property’s original farmhouse, which originally housed the chickens.

Designed by Dale White and Bek Gallagher the highlight of the cellar door is its restored original features, reclaimed timber and a wrap-around recycled timber deck. A large barn door was also recycled from a farm in Geelong.

Suspended pendant lights highlight the tasting counter, while the cellar door’s neutral colour palette allows the many bottles of wine on display to take centre stage.
