SJB’s Kirsten Stanisich and Jonathan Richards have departed the interior design practice to establishing their own practice, Richards Stanisich.

The practice and it’s 15-strong team will remain in its Surry Hills location on Crown Street, and the duo also remain committed to their process, which has been honed over 20 years. “Not a lot will change in the day-to-day experience,” says Stanisich. “But we are excited about the expanded possibilities of being more mobile, with the freedom to work with like-minded clients and collaborators — both big and small.”

Richards adds, “We’ve had a wonderful experience and have great appreciation for our time operating as SJB Interiors Sydney — and now we have the opportunity to enjoy an even closer engagement with our process, team and clients.

“We look forward to finessing our design philosophy and applying our thinking to a greater range of projects in Sydney and beyond.”

Richards Stanisich’s new brand identity was created by multidisciplinary studio Deuce Design.

Stanisich is a judge at the 2018 IDEA awards. Read an interview with her here.
