Miele unveils first outdoor kitchen range in Australia

Outdoor cooking is a way of life in Australia, from First Nations earth ovens (Kup Murri) and early settler damper baking to modern summer barbecues and fire pits. So when Miele was selecting the right location to launch its first outdoor cooking range in the country, the Daintree Rainforest seemed the perfect choice.

The ‘Dreams’ Outdoor Kitchen is the first of its kind from the brand. Combining a timeless modular design, intelligent grilling technology and exceptional quality, Miele’s outdoor cooking range reimagines the way people entertain and connect outdoors.

Representing Miele’s first foray into premium outdoor living, the launch marks a defining moment in the brand’s 127-year history. The ‘Dreams’ Outdoor Kitchen is fully customisable, designed to bring Miele’s signature precision, innovation and timeless design to an outdoor setting. With over 50 interchangeable elements and accessories, the kitchen can be adapted to suit spaces big and small – from a compact urban balcony to an expansive outdoor entertaining environment.

The modular design also allows the kitchen to grow and flex over time to suit different needs, cooking styles and changing homes. Not just a humble barbecue, the ‘Dreams’ Outdoor Kitchen centres on the Fire Pro Grill, designed with advanced outdoor cooking technology. With five integrated temperature sensors and assisted cooking programs, which can be controlled through the Miele app, the kitchen allows home cooks to spend more time entertaining and less time watching the clock (or the colour of the meat).

“The launch of Miele’s Outdoor Cooking range marks an exciting new chapter for Miele in Australia,” says Lisa Saunders, Miele’s marketing director for Australia and New Zealand. “As a country defined by its appreciation for outdoor living, Australia is the ideal setting for a fully integrated outdoor kitchen that reimagines the way people gather, cook and entertain. Combining quality craftsmanship with modular design flexibility, the Miele ‘Dreams’ Outdoor Kitchen delivers precision performance, allowing homeowners to create sophisticated outdoor entertaining environments.”

To launch the new range in the Australian market, Miele created a pop-up kitchen in the world’s oldest tropical rainforest: the Daintree. Acclaimed Australian chef Neil Perry brought the kitchen to life, creating a beautiful meal that epitomises Australian outdoor living and dining in the most idyllic setting.

“Outdoor cooking has traditionally involved a degree of compromise, but Miele’s ‘Dreams’ Outdoor Kitchen changes that. It brings the precision, consistency and control you’d expect from a premium indoor kitchen into an outdoor setting, giving you complete confidence to cook at the highest level,” says Perry. “When you have that level of precision, you can spend less time worrying about the cooking and more time enjoying the people around you. There’s no better place to introduce it than the Daintree, where exceptional ingredients and an extraordinary landscape speak for themselves.”
