Miele, the world’s leading manufacturer of premium domestic appliances, has this month unveiled a sophisticated collection of built-in appliances, featuring a sleek obsidian matte black finish.
In celebration of 125 years of innovation and excellence for Miele, the elegant ArtLine series is now available online and in-store.
For cooking enthusiasts and design lovers alike, the Miele Matte Black range encompasses Miele’s top-of-the-range oven, speed oven and combi steam oven, available in both 45-centimetre and 60-centimetre recess sizes.
Each model features a simplistic, handleless design, made possible by Touch2Open technology. Newly structured glass surfaces form a refined frame around the oven viewing windows, accentuating the minimalist aesthetic.
In Miele’s induction cooktop range, clients can now enjoy a unique matte finish ceramic glass surface that is highly resistant to scratches and fingerprints, which ensures a pristine look over time. The induction cooktop also boasts discreet markings for cooking zones and power level indicators, elegantly displayed with fine white lines
Complementing these appliances is a rangehood in a refined matte finish. Additionally, Miele’s built-in coffee machine with DirectWater combines effortlessly with the rest of the series. The CoffeeSelect + AutoDescale system ensures optimal performance, while the stunning matte black finish adds an extra touch of luxury to any kitchen.
In December, Miele will also introduce refrigeration appliances in a black steel colourway, offering even more options to harmonise kitchen design.
The first application of the brand new collection blends seamlessly into the design of First Light, a premier residential development in Melbourne, designed by Léo Terrando for DCF.
Every element of First Light pays careful attention to aesthetics and practicality. The matte black finish of the Miele appliances, curated by Terrando, helps to achieve a sleek, cohesive interior that exudes luxury.
“I couldn’t think of anything better to suit the apartment. The appliances are so seamless,” the designer says.
Miele Australia category marketing manager Kamal Watson delights in the results of this pilot project for the Miele matte black range.
“We are proud to offer appliances that blend effortlessly into any home, while still delivering the highest standards of performance and durability, exemplifying Miele’s vision of combining refined aesthetics with cutting-edge functionality,” Watson says.
“This range reflects not just a design statement but a dedication to creating products that enhance the modern kitchen experience.”
The special matte finish significantly minimises scratches, while the anti-fingerprint effect ensures a permanently clean appearance for First Light’s apartments and all the exciting projects to come.
In this way, the collection holds strong to Miele’s guiding principle – ‘Immer Besser’ or ‘forever better’. After 125 years, the brand continues to hold a standard of products that are durable, sustainable and high performing with a stylish finish.
