The Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) has announced Jansz Tasmania as its official sparkling wine partner for 2026.
Bringing together two disciplines grounded in craft and creativity, the partnership will see Jansz Tasmania served throughout the IDEA program, including at the prestigious IDEA gala in November where Australia’s leading designers and architects gather to celebrate the year’s most outstanding interiors.

Since 1986, Jansz Tasmania has been devoted solely to the art of sparkling winemaking. Crafted in the cool maritime climate of northern Tasmania, the wines are shaped by the island’s pristine environment and long, slow ripening seasons, conditions widely regarded as ideal for producing sparkling wines of finesse and balance.
The winery’s philosophy, known as Méthode Tasmanoise, reflects a deep respect for place and a belief in working with nature rather than against it. The result is sparkling wines that express the character of Tasmania, pure, vibrant and quietly complex.

For Jansz Tasmania winemaker Teresa Heuzenroeder, the connection between wine and design lies in the careful balance between creativity and precision.
“Sparkling wine is a process that rewards patience and attention to detail,” Heuzenroeder says.

“There is an interplay between art and science that feels very similar to design. Both require a clear vision, but also a respect for materials, environment and time.”
Heuzenroeder brings more than three decades of experience crafting cool-climate wines across regions including Tasmania, the Adelaide Hills, Eden Valley and the King Valley. Her scientific background and intuitive approach to winemaking continue to shape the evolving style of Jansz Tasmania.

Like thoughtful design, great sparkling wine is rarely rushed. It is the result of careful decisions made over time from vineyard to bottle.
At the IDEA gala later this year, guests will experience that philosophy first-hand, with a glass of Jansz Tasmania marking the moment as the industry gathers to celebrate the best in Australian interior design.
Undeniably Tasmanian. Unmistakably Jansz.
