The films explore ideas about making architecture that extends beyond the traditional practice approaches and challenges the relationships between architecture and the cultural, economic, social and political realms.
Created along the lines of top international furniture expos, the event will feature individual or group exhibit spaces showcasing locally made furniture and furnishings including flooring, wall and decorative elements.
Things like cabinets, kitchen apparatus and storage areas are traditionally placed on top and around the bench, but the new range assimilates these objects and structures into newly assigned spaces or 'islands'.
