The wait is nearly over. Australia’s biggest festival of construction, Sydney Build Expo, opens it doors at ICC Sydney from 9am on 29 and 30 April!

This year’s event will be the largest in the show’s history, with a record numbers of attendees, speakers and exhibitors confirmed. More than 28,000 professionals, including leading contractors, architects, developers, house builders, civil engineers, government and construction professionals are coming together over the two days.

Expect surprises around every corner of the show with live music, entertainment, networking parties, DJs and interactive features running alongside the conference stages and exhibition. This is not your average trade show – it’s a chance for the whole industry to come together, meet face to face and celebrate the people and projects shaping the built environment.

The conference program is the biggest to date, with over 600 speakers confirmed across 16 stages, including Future Australia, Housing, AI and Digital Construction, Sustainability, MMC, Building Materials, Architecture and Design, Health and Safety, Diversity and more.

Speakers include Anton Fourie from Arup, Sarah Lawrence from AECOM, Dr Woojin Choi from Bechtel, Adrian Taylor from BVN, Hugh Lister-Barker from CBRE, David Holm from COX Architecture, Clare Jones from John Holland, Julian Sutherland from JLL, Alberto Sanchez from Lendlease and John Hainsworth from Mott MacDonald, alongside many more from across design, engineering, delivery and digital teams.

Government support and participation are stronger than ever. The Premier of New South Wales, Chris Minns, has formally backed the event, along with official support from the Lord Mayor of Sydney. Senior ministers and public sector leaders will be present across both days, underlining the role Sydney Build plays in bringing industry and government together.

The NSW Minister for Building, Anoulack Chanthivong, will open Day 1, with Minister for Housing, Rose Jackson MLC, opening Day 2. They will be joined by representatives from Building Commission NSW, SafeWork NSW, Transport for NSW and the NSW Department of Customer Service, all contributing to sessions focused on housing delivery, regulation and infrastructure.

Networking is at the heart of the show, curated to get people talking, meeting and making real connections. From the Women in Construction networking event and Diversity in Construction meet-ups, to Sustainability, Digital Construction, Architecture and Contractor sessions, there is something for everyone.

Sessions are run with industry partners including CIOB, NAWIC, Housing Industry Association, Master Builders Australia and Carpentry Australia, and they are built to be open, busy and social. Expect lively discussions, big turnouts and a proper buzz as thousands of people join in across the two days.

On the exhibition floor, more than 550 companies will be showcasing products, services and technology. Exhibitors include Autodesk, Procore, Stowe Australia, Knotwood, BuildPass, Bluebeam, Saint-Gobain, Deco Australia and Makita, making it one of the most comprehensive displays of construction solutions in Australia.

With its largest audience, strongest government backing and the most extensive line-up of speakers and exhibitors to date, Sydney Build Expo 2026 is set to be the biggest edition yet and a key meeting point for the entire construction industry.
