About the program
Celebrating creativity and innovation
Australian Design Review’s 30UNDER30 program is a dynamic showcase of the nation’s most inspiring and promising interior designers, product designers, architects and innovators of the built world aged 30 and under. Since its launch in 2022, the program has become a hallmark of excellence in Australian architecture and design, recognising the outstanding contributions of emerging talent who are shaping the future of our built environment.
For the 2027 iteration of Niche Media’s 30UNDER30 program, Niche Media is collaborating with Bali’s famous Potato Head to host Future by Design, a special Reunion Retreat marking the first five years of a program that has swiftly become one of the most prized in the Australian A+D sector. Future By Design will convene the incoming 2026/2027 30UNDER30 cohort alongside all previous participants, including former alumni, mentors and speakers, for a dedicated program focused on creativity and leadership. The program will include presentations, panel discussions and more, and feature a line-up of presenters and participants drawn from many of the country’s most awarded A+D practices.
Fostering community and collaboration
Australian Design Review’s 30UNDER30 constitutes a community that encourages networking, collaboration and knowledge exchange. We provide opportunities for young architects and designers to connect with their peers, industry mentors and suppliers. Through in-person events, workshops and online discussions, we create an environment where ideas can be shared, challenges can be discussed and collaborations can flourish.
Providing an immersive retreat
The program culminates in an incredible three-day high-performance leadership and creativity retreat. Here, participants embark on a transformative journey of inspiration, collaboration and growth. This retreat serves as the pinnacle of the 30UNDER30 program, offering a unique opportunity for the selected cohort to immerse themselves in an environment designed to spark creativity, expand perspectives and foster deep connections.

Australian Design Review’s ultimate goal is to empower the next generation of designers, architects and innovators with the resources, insights and exposure needed to make a lasting impact.
