Bio

Founded in Australia in 1938
HASSELL is a single, privately owned international network of design studios. Each has the flexibility and autonomy to service local clients, and the advantages of access to our integrated culture, combined resources and collective experience.
A multidisciplinary design practice,
we are structured around the key disciplines of architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and planning, with integrated sustainability and urban design capabilities.

An interdisciplinary organisation, HASSELL combines learning and experience from all disciplines to
inform our design work.

Signature entry pavilions establish the project identity. Draped in glass louvres they welcome, shelter and direct passengers. They capture light by day and beckon at night. They […]

  • Ross Street Residence

HASSELL was approached to create the interior of a new house designed by Robert Mills Architects. Having established a design direction a collaborative process was undertaken to review relevant aspects of the architecture, with the goal to create a fully integrated house from the inside out. The owners sought to distinguish their house as an […]

  • SA Water

The new SA Water building completes the enclosure of the South-Eastern corner of Victoria Square. Occupying a prominent site adjacent to St Francis Xavier Cathedral, it sits in a large public plaza that visually flows into the light-filled foyer. With a cafe, casual meeting areas and a signature sculptural function space, the ground floor is […]

  • HASSELL Warry Street Studio

The new home of HASSELL gathers people together. The former Keatings Bread Factory building has been extensively refurbished to create a suite of open-plan interconnected studio and gathering spaces that reinforce HASSELL design philosophies.
