Artists in residency at Pin-up Project Space

Share

Pin-up Architecture and Design Project Space announced the 2014 Summer Residents for its latest collaborative project, EMBASSY: Matthew Bird (Studiobird) and Phillip Adams (BalletLab).

The EMBASSY project will result in the physical construction of a large and speculative embassy ‘foundation’ structure; experimenting with ready-made materials in a complex formation; and testing possible future notions of embassy groundwork, blueprint, form and aesthetic.

The Residents will work in tandem with curator Fleur Watson – co-founder of Pin-up – towards achieving the organisation’s agenda, which is to pave the way for innovative architectural and design ideas that help forge a cross-disciplinary creative exchange within an independent, community space.

Future Wagon photography by igor sapina2Pin-up is an independent architecture and design gallery, project and event space. It works towards exhibiting and promoting architecture and design in an inspirational environment.

In the past, Phillip and Matthew have worked on some popular local projects like the Aviary, MONA FOMA and And All Things Return To Nature Tomorrow.
