Ola Mexicola carries the spirit of Mexico City’s art-filled neighbourhoods and San Miguel de Allende’s technicolour streets into everyday moments.

Expressive textiles, vibrant tableware and playful furniture and lighting from the boutique Melbourne homewares brand’s new collection celebrate rhythm, artistry and sun-soaked joy. Arriving in time for the Australian summer, Ola Mexicola is designed to turn any gathering into a celebration.

Mix-to-the-max Mexico-style

In true Fenton & Fenton “mix-to-the-max” fashion, nearly every piece from Ola Mexicola is a statement.

Ola Mexicola spans furniture, lighting, art, bedding and decoration.

The shaggy fuchsia Raffy lamps and pendants, along with wonky Squiggle lighting, offer a wink of character. Meanwhile, the unique design of the stout Show Off sideboard features front-facing storage that can showcase books and treasures on the outside of its doors.

Food and cultural motifs reign supreme in the tableware. Trays, tablecloths and painted plate sets are adorned with maracas and Sacred Hearts or coloured in hues of mango, olive and cactus. The collection achieves its flamboyant climax in two glazed stoneware vases intricately adorned with limes and chillies.

The collection’s marginally quieter pieces include the charming Pepe dining chair and the modular Roommate Sofa, a contemporary take on 1970s design.
