Our overall project winner fuses cultural representation with urban prominence and security considerations in supporting diverse government functions. Bates Smart has created a warm, recognisable and timeless diplomatic presence in Washington DC.

inside 120 is also packed with profile features on Melbourne-based interior and architecture photographer Lillie Thompson, Studio Liu founder Louise Liu and Spaceman Studio founder Lachlan Mackay. Inspiring project features include Foolscap Studio’s design of the ANZ Gothic Bank and John Wardle’s family beach house in Anglesea, Victoria.
